Once you have a new install of FXFactory, sign in with your credentials and under the action menu, select the 4 options one at a time to repair disk permissions, repair products, repair helper tool and repair conflicts. If you see the FX templates in the finder, you may be able to simply double click them one at a time to make them reappear in FXFactory and in FCPX. Not exactly sure if that path changed in Sierra, but unlikely. If you installed any plugins directly from the manufacturer that are also distributed by FX Factory, they may have been installed in other locations, but if everything you had was purchased directly through the FXFactory app, the above path should be good.

On El Capitan, their plugins were installed in HD/user//Library/Application Support/FXFactory so you can't just move those around to various Motion Template folders.

Make sure you have the latest version of FXFactory installed to be sure download it from their website. Maybe one of these contains the "answers", - but if so which one(s)? plists and so on - from the previous installation in my backup folder. Except form the plugins themselves I still have all FxFactory related files,. In fact I can't even remember all the plugins I have from FxFactory. Loggin in to my FxFactory account does not show me which plugins I own, even if I go to the "Installed"-page. Problem here is that I erased that folder shortly before as everything related to that folder was working fine, - lesson learned). (Well, I could just copy them back from my backup-folder, couldn't I?. All my paid for/activated FxFactory plugins simply disappeared from FCP's effect browser and from the FCP plugins folder as well. All worked as excepted, including the plugins I have which are distributed by FxFactory.Īfter this I installed the FxFactory app and then things got messed up. I just made a clean install on my iMac including Sierra.Īfter installing FCP - the brand new version - I copied the Motion Templates folder including all plugins from a backup folder into the new installation. Maybe some of you nice guys here can be of assistance? I have contacted FxFactory support about the matter, but they seem to be a bit slow to react.
